Healthy Chinese Stir-Fry
1/2 to 1 lb. Steak, cut in strips
1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 red bell pepper 1/2 yellow bell pepper 2 carrots, cut julienne Bok Choy (as much as you like) 1 head broccoli cut in bite-sized pieces handful of sugar peas (whole)
Sauce to be made separately: Cook these together in small pan and have ready before cooking the rest of the recipe 1 onion chopped 1 1/2 tsp fresh ginger (fresh tastes a lot better than the dried stuff) 2 TBS cornstarch 1 can (14.5 oz) beef broth 3 TBS soy sauce
For the stir-fry: Cook meat in 2 TBS hot oil. Remove from wok. Saute 1 clove garlic in oil. Add veggies and stir-fry til al dente, not soft. Add the meat and sauce and heat through.
